Where the board comes from

The daily is not picked from a list. Today's date is turned into a number and that number seeds the generator, so the same date produces the same hundred cells for every visitor — no server, no account, nothing stored anywhere to look you up by. Tomorrow's date produces a different board, and yesterday's is gone.

It is built at 10×10 with two gift regions — the default for its size, which makes it a gentler board than Extreme even though the two are identical in size. Par is 4:10.

It is separate from your practice record

Finishing the daily marks the day done. It does not write to your per-difficulty best times, which is deliberate: a once-a-day board at a fixed size is not a fair comparison against boards you can re-roll until one suits you. The two records answer different questions and are kept apart.

Everything is stored in your own browser. Clearing site data clears your streak, and there is no way to move it to another device, because there is nowhere it was sent.

If you want another board today

The daily is once a day by design, but nothing else here is. The four practice sizes — 5×5, 7×7, 9×9 and 10×10 Extreme — deal a fresh board every time you ask, and the campaign has 150 fixed ones waiting in order.

Questions

Does everyone get the same daily puzzle?

Yes. The board is generated from the date, so the same day produces the same board everywhere, without anything being sent to or stored on a server.

Can I replay a past daily?

No. The daily is the board for the current date; when the date changes, so does the board. The practice sizes and the campaign are there for unlimited play.

Does the daily count towards my best times?

No. It marks the day complete but stays out of the per-difficulty best-time record, so a once-a-day board is not compared against boards you can re-roll.

Do I need an account for the daily?

No. There is no account and no sign-up anywhere on this site. Your streak lives in your own browser.
