What is Meowdoku?

Meowdoku is a cat-themed logic puzzle in the “one cat per region” family. On each board you place exactly one cat in every row, every column, and every colored region — and no two cats may sit next to each other, diagonals included. Every puzzle has a single solution reachable by logic alone, so you never have to guess.

A board is small enough for a bus ride and deep enough to keep you thinking, which is why most players download Meowdoku to their phone: a level takes a minute or two, and the campaign keeps going for hundreds of boards. You do not have to take that on trust, though — the board below is a real Meowdoku you can solve before you install anything.

Both stores mix Meowdoku in with other cat-themed sudoku games, so it is worth a two-second check before you tap Get or Install. The listing you want is called simply Meowdoku, is published by Oakever Games, and shows the colored-region boards with cat icons in its screenshots. On Google Play the package name reads com.oakever.meowdoku.
